Meet Chance

Chance Oliver, a respected pillar of the community and dedicated judge, is officially seeking reelection. With a track record of fair and impartial rulings, he has worked tirelessly to uphold justice and ensure the well-being of the people of Denton County. As a former prison guard, prosecutor, and private practice attorney handling civil and criminal matters, he possesses unique qualities to lead. He also serves as a deacon, non-profit board member, and president of the county court-at-law judge association.

Throughout his tenure, Judge Oliver has spearheaded initiatives to improve court accessibility, streamline legal processes, and address the mental health crisis in our community. Under his leadership, the court has maintained a reputation for integrity, efficiency, advocacy of treatment, and commitment to justice.

When not working, Judge Oliver loves to coach, which he has done for thirty years, while raising four children with his wife, Blanca Oliver. He also enjoys playing basketball and working out to stay mentally and physically focused.
